Technology Components

The EDI membrane block removes ions through built-in ion exchange resin (Na+ represents cations and C1- represents anions). The system consists of:

  • Pure water chamber - mixed resin layer between anion and cation exchange membranes
  • Concentrated water chamber - working interlayer between pure water chambers
  • Electrode plates - conductive plates generating electric field during operation
